Default part number

My 2005 A6 3.2 came with 4F0-910-801 parking brake control module. But the Audi dealer quote me $400 for 4F0-910-801-D as a replcement part for my car yesterday.

Did anyone figure out where the EPB control module located? The Bentely manual just says 'remove right side trim in luggage compartment. Interior group 70'

Great - thanks. Found a pic of it online. Any special process to remove the tool kit? Any clips/screws to be aware of?

nothing special, i dont remeber the size of the screw heads. there are three to remove the carrier for the jack and i believe 2 for the tool carrier. then u will see the brake module easy to remove and replace. There was a thread discussing this some time ago and i believe it has a better picture. now my experience is from when i had the '05, so maybe some monir changes to the '06 verson.

Default EPB ECU - 2009 Audi A5

I have a 2009 Audi A5 - My parking brake stopped working, checked with VCDS and it said that there was a faulty switch.
I change the ON/ OFF switch next to the shifter,It didn't work.I changed the brake light switch under the steering column. It didn't wok.
I ordered a used EPB ECU model # (8K0 907 801 E). It doesn't work. Tried VCDS and it doesn't recognize it.
Since I got it used I thought that its also faulty and purchased another one. The 2nd one also doesn't get recognized.
Does it require some sort of programming? I'm at a stand still now without ideas.

@Emil M. you have a 09 A5, this is only for A6 models. I'd recommend you post your questions here: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/aud...cabrio-b8-125/
