I have followed this approach to stream music via bluetooth:

maybe a bit outdated compared with AMI module, but worked well for me.

I finally got my CDs from the ebay seller and upgraded the MMI and Bluetooth. I was under the impression that I would be able to play MP3 files from the cd changer, but I am unable to.

I simply copied the MP3 files to a CD and finalized the disk which I believe should have worked.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Must have something to do with the formatting of your CD. Mine worked fine in the CD changer until I replaced it with AMI/USB. And then, I just copied the same MP3 files to a flash drive. I wish I could remember the formatting options, but that was a while ago. You could try a couple sample files, formatting the CD in different ways.
Good luck!

I was finally able to get the CD changer out. Unfortunately, it required removing the glove box as my CD changer was crazy tight.

Hooked everything up and I am able to play MP3s from a flash drive and I also have the aux cable which works fine, but I plan to add a bluetooth adapter which will let me stream wirelessly.

Thanks for your help everyone !!

I use this with a AUX port hooked to the AMI. I ran the cord from the glove box to under the center console where I leave the FOSPower. Its charged but the 12v there.

The CD changers typically are very tightly installed, as was mine. You can reach under the dash behind the glove box with one hand and push on it along with a key inserted in the front. The combo of pulling and pushing freed mine right up, and didn't require yanking out the glove box.
Glad you got it all working as desired!

After I failed to get it out I brought it up to the Bronx to a car stereo place. Two guys tried for twenty minutes and couldn't get it out. They took out the glove box, removed the changer, and put the glove box back in 15 minutes. Charged me $30.00 which I thought was fair.

I also ordered from aliexpress what I believe is the same as
2g Bluetooth and Aux 2g Bluetooth and Aux

If it works, great if not, no big deal.

I like the fact that is supposedly will allow me to plug in a USB drive OR use bluetooth.

I will let you know how it works out.

The adapter finally arrived.

Bluetooth works very well, but it will not read a connected flash drive.

The unit does need to be connected to a USB power source to work and I will be installing one in my glove box so I won't have any exposed wires. The fact that there is a fuse box right next to the glove box makes this very easy to do.
