Vendor for ABS Module rebuild
I had a local guy do a VagCom scan on my 2005 A6's (3.2) ABS/ESB error indicating a parking brake malfunction.
Here's what came back:
From this, I'm finding that I'm most likely needing an ABS module rebuild. I've seen mention on here Module Masters and Cheap-ABS. My A6 seems to have the Bosch 8.0 module, which both places can repair.
MM wants $350.00 for it.
Cheap-ABS wants $239.00 for it.
My questions to you folks out there that have used either service are:
Which one did you use and why?
Are you happy with the results?
How long ago did you do the work and how is it holding up?
How did you go about removing the module? Link to how you removed would be great as I do NOT want to screw that up!
Thanks for any information you guys may have. I TRULY appreciate it!

Have you read through this: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho...ht=ABS+rebuild
As for removal, it's pretty straightforward, in fact module masters (I believe) gives a walk through on how to remove it. In my previous Audi MM did the job and it lasted over 4 years, I sold the car...so no idea after the 4.

Had not seen that, but thanks for that pointer. Looks like another common problem with these.
But I'm encouraged that your experience with MM was good. Thanks for that feedback. I'll look at that BBA site mentioned in that thread.
