Officially official: 2012 Audi A6
After being thoroughly disappointed with my 2011 BMW 535i, this car will most likely welcome me back to the Audi brand:

exactly what I wanted to hear..
"The available powertrains – a choice between two gasoline engines and three diesel mills worldwide"
the 245 hp/368 lb-ft TDI motor is amazing. AB says nearly 40 mpg yet runs from 0-60 in just 6.1 seconds... sign me up!

I am waiting for a final comparo between the 535i and this for sure. I wonder what disappoints the OP about the 535 though. All i have heard are good things about it till now.But I am dissapointed by the styling though.I thought A8 was an anamoly and now this...huh.The 535 brought in the same feelings when they unveiled it. Any news on expected deliveries?

A7s are already ordered and you'll see some market launch cars in April. But they will trickle in slow.
But there's no way your going to see the new a6 this spring in the us.
They're still making and taking orders for the 11 models. Theres lots of 11 a6s to get rid of on dealers lots & your not going to see a big push on the new a6 until the mid to late summer.
And they will hold back 12 a6s until 11s are depleted.

That article is from Nov. 30 and IIRC from more recent articles, don't expect a diesel option to be available in the U.S. (at least not during the first year the C7 platform is here).
