Hi from the UK

I've just bought a 2017 A6 Avant but I'm having real problems trying to connect my iPhone 7 to Apple Car Play on the A6 despite following all of the instructions in the manual.

I have the latest software on my iPhone and I know the lightening cable is good but it just won't connect despite trying both USB ports. I've restarted the iPhone and also set everything on the A6 back to factory settings but still nothing.

I noticed on the MMI set up menu that 'Audi smartphone interface' is greyed out on the MMI menu and is also missing from the main menu

- from videos I've seen it should be above car and telephone but on my vehicle it's non existent.

My car also has Audi Connect although there isn't a sim card in the car at present but I don't think that anything to do with it.

I Googled the issue and found someone on an RS6 forum complaining about the same issue but without an answer.

Can anybody help me please????
