Squeaky noise
Hello everyone.
Recently, I have noticed a squeaky noise coming from my steering...
Its been going on and off for about a month now and I usually notice it when its really cold. But it started bothering me and I wanted to know if anyone knows what could possibly cause it, if it is a common thing to happen, and lastly; how much its going to be for the repair.
It's a 2007 A6 3.2 Quattro s-line;
It only occurs when I turn my steering and it's coming from the left front wheel.
I have uploaded a video right HERE if anybody can identify what could it be, I would be grateful.
Thanks, Daniel.

It sounds to me like a bushing or ball joint, it should be rather easy to diagnose once it is in the air, as the sound is very pronounced and simple to pinpoint. It would be impossible to say how much it will cost at this point, not knowing exactly what is causing the noise but once diagnosed we can get you a quote on the parts needed to do the job. If it is just one bad ball joint on a link or tie rod then it should only be a couple hundred dollars, parts and labor, for the repair. If it is as described above but all of the links are in need of replacement, which happens fairly often, it can climb up over $1000.00. If you don't do your own minor repairs and maintenance on your Audi, I wouldn't blame you , get it to your trusty mechanic and they should be able to diagnose it rather easily and accurately, post their quote here and we will look it over and see if we can save you some money on the parts needed to do the job. Videos are very helpful, keep em coming!
