I recently purchased an 06 Avant, and I was looking through different grills, I came across an 06 A6 S6 grill that I really like. Since this is my first Audi, I was curious on whether or not the grill would fit. Since the S6 was made in 07 onward.. did the bumper/grill layout change to the point where it would not fit? And if it would not fit, what are some recommended grills w/ pictures that others have (other than stock)?

I changed out my grill on my 2006 A6. I couldn't really find a good answer as to what fit and what didn't. I just bought one I liked and made it work. I think it was for a 2010 A6. The fitment is pretty good, though not exact at the top, there were a few clips that are not perfect. But it's not loose or going anywhere. I then put 4 COB LED rings that fit perfectly over the Audi logo. Wired them to the parking lights.

Which is clearly NOT for a 2006 (My YEAR) but as I said it fit fine, just a few of the tabs didn't line up. I liked this style and wanted it on my older 2006. I couldn't find info telling me if it would fit so decided to buy it and see.
