Default Cam Position Sensor G163 error
OK, which one of the four is this? I'm not seeing indication of Bank or Intake/Exhaust! TIA

According to the manual G163 is Bank 2

Thanks Raj! It's turning 217 K miles tomorrow on way to it's new owner! I'll pick up a sensor tomorrow after a train ride to pick up my '08 A6 Sline Avant w/Sport suspension & seats.

No worries mate. When you pick up that new avant, post up some pics and make sure to get all the required maintenance addressed on it ASAP. Enjoy!

Hey there, I have the same fault code and looking to replace the part. Not sure where to find the part number for it? Any idea if this is the correct sensor?

Nevermind, I pulled the part number (06E905163) off the part which was staring me right in the face :-)

from the diagrams - there is 4 cam position sensors?
