Wow. Can’t believe nobody responded to this. I need a second key and was hoping to find an answer in this thread. Did you ever find a way to get a cheap second key? Thanks.

I don't know. But once I needed a new key for my Lexus and I found an outfit online that I could send a picture of the key to and they made the key from the picture- and very cheap. Doing a fast Google search I couldn't find anything like this for an Audi. Lots of fobs for a decent price, and apparently a way to program it to the car, but cutting the key is an issue that will run the expense up.

You can save some money and just get a key instead of a fob.

When I had allroad, I went to dealership to buy something, I asked them what it would cost to get another key.. It was fob plus cutting $120.00 plus $130 for programing.. when you are getting new key they will reprogram both of them..up to 3 keys..for the same price.
My idea was to buy new key have them cut it and later in the evening come to their lot and try to reprogram them using ross tech or xtool401...if I mess it up I would just leave the car there and go in to fill out work order. That way I would save on towing..Never did that.
Oh yeah they said also they would not cut after market key for the fear of damaging their diamond head key cuter on some made in china keys...

Awesome. All I want is a replacement key in case my car decides to lock me out while it is running again. I found a place in my city on the list you posted. Thanks.
