The screen is not removable from the reservoir.

Just did this today following the DIY here. Everything was smooth. Only thing I can add here is that I used an dental syringe used to flush back teeth after oral surgery to suck the old fluid out of the reservoir … thanks to the person that mentioned the yellow cap. There are 2 small holes under the yellow cap, the dental syringe fit perfectly and pulled out the correct amount of fluid (not allowing the reservoir to run dry).

I could not figure out how to pull out the screen and since everything is plastic didn't want to damage it … luckily saw the comment about the yellow cap.

Is it OK to use the vag com to bleed ABS brake pump REGARDLESS whether or not you let the air into the system? You know, just to be on the safe side?

If you didn't let it go dry you should be fine.

Yes. Used the same procedure on my 2006 A6 Avant and my 2014 Q5. However, you can reach the bleeder valve on the front Q5 calipers through the wheel w/o removing the wheel - makes it easy to bleed the system at least on the fronts.

Nope, just a pressure bleeder, a bottle/tube to collect the old fluid, and a couple of wrenches.
