does 3.0 have timing marks??
my neighbor just bought a non-running 3.0 I beleive the timing belt skipped, is their any marks for the cams? can timing be checked or verified without the cam lock tools?
and if the timing did skip teeth, I assume it bent valves. I have rebuild the 2.8 but never the 3.0 any advice or tips?

3.0 V6 was not an engine option for the C6 A6, only the C5 A6. In any case, you'll need the two cam locking tools and the crank tool to reset the cam/crank timing correctly for installing a bew belt. There are no timing marks on the cams, that's why there are the special tools.
