Exhaust Tips!
Wanted to know where can i find good but not so loud, not annoying droning sound exhaust tips for my 05 a6 4.2 I know i sound a lil **** but i dont want to sound like a honda going down the street lol I want it to sound sophisticated any suggestions and prices?thanks

Porsche 997 Exhaust Tips sound absolutely amazing on the note of the stock exhaust of the 4.2 Porsche designed the tips to enhance the sound of the boxer 6 engine, little did they know the wonders of the tips with the backpressure of the 4.2 V8. I wish I still owned my 4.2, I would make a youtube clip of the exhaust sound. Anyway, the tips let pressure go up through an inlet and out through a small inlet giving off an amazing sound absolutely NO drone. Honestly, people thought I had a complete high end exhaust when I spent $200 on exhuast tips and a $50 install.

I'm seeing conflicting reports about the sound produced by these tips. Here it is noted the tips make do difference in sound, only looks. So what's the real answer?

Changing out the tips alone in the entire exhaust systems changes the sound of the A6? And here we are changing out pipes, mufflers, and entire systems, when all we have to do is just replace a muffler tip. If we only would have known this sooner! Wow! Guess who feels silly for spending more than $250? Yup, me...
