Front Differential/Transfer Case drain fluid
I recently took my car to an indy to do the Front and Rear Differential, Transfer case, and Transmission fluid flush. I supplied the oils.
The transmission and rear differentials appeared to be fine and the amount of oil pumped in was as per the specs below. However, the front differential and transfer case only took in 0.5 quart of fresh oil - COMBINED!!! As per the spec below, the amount should have been close to 2 quarts.
Any ideas? Is there a trick to draining all the oil in the front and transfer case?
Automatic Transmission, 09L Initial Fill..........4.2 quarts [2]
Differential, 09L Front..........2.3 pints
Differential, 01R Rear..........3.2 pints
Transfer Case, 09L..........1.3 pints
[1] After refill check oil level.
[2] To prevent overfilling, add approx 0.5L (0.5 qt) less than
capacity shown. Check oil level and fill to full.
___
Automatic Transmission, 09L Initial Fill..........4 liters [2]
Automatic Transmission, Total Fill
6 speed 09L..........9 liters
Differential, 09L Front..........1.1 liters
Differential, 01R Rear..........1.5 liters
Transfer Case, 09L..........0.6 liters
[1] After refill check oil level.
[2] To prevent overfilling, add approx 0.5L (0.5 qt) less than
capacity shown. Check oil level and fill to full.

I did this awhile back (6 months ago) and if I recall correctly the transfer case (middle) only took about 1/2 liter. Also the front diff took very little as well, perhaps 1/2 liter as well.
Both of these need to be 'sucked out' there is no drain plug, like the rear diff case. Both fill plugs are located on the right side of the respective housing.
I wish I had recorded exactly how much was being used, but I didn't. BTW, I used Redline (Diff fluid), based upon the great feedback given on the product.
I should have mentioned that there was no way to overfill due to how the fluid is topped up. Also, I ensured that I got every bit of the old fluid in the case out.
This may be a case akin to the transmission, since it's capacity is actually 9 liters, but when you drain and drop the case you only effectively remove 5 liters of fluid.
