Default Green fluid???

Alright, I was walking threw the garage tonight and noticed some green fluid where the car sits. It would be on the passenger side front roughly next to where the tire sites. This fluid is almost a forest green color. Any idea what it could be? Is it from the car?

That would be coolant most likely. Is it a lot or just a little?

Default Its not coolant, which is red/pink. The only fluid that is greenish....

is the automatic transmission fluid (ATF). Check for leaks under the car to see if there is any evidence of fluid leaking. If you don't see anything, then its probably not from your car.

The power steering fluid has that lovely forest green color (before it oxidizes).

I took a look in the Power steering resovore and it looks to be kind of Brown but doesn't take it out of the equasion. This stuff is a very green look. The Coolant is pink like Kevin stated. The color is much greener than that of glycal coolant. There is not a lot but enough if it were to leak often it could cause a problem.

Is the ATF Green?

I thought Audi's tranny fluid was red/pink as well when new and brownish red old???

I would check the power steering system. Turn on the car, have someone turn the wheels and see if you notice anything unusual.

Could also be window washer fluid but that's a bit of a long shot.

Typical ATF is Reddish like you said r1racer. I'm just not sure what the Audi fluid color is?

The PS fluid is reddish brown.

The windshield washer fluid is all I could think as well. I'm not sure what color is in the car cuz its still the stuff from when I purchased it. When sprayed it does look bluish/green but hard to tell for sure when sprayed. Maybe I will back it into the snow and spray a bunch and see.

Great idea DirtyVegas I will sweet the garage out.
