Default headlight washer replacement

So the driver side headlight washer unit is missing one of two nozzles. Ordered a used unit to replace as I was not finding a way to replace the nozzle. What I am not finding on the forums or Google or YouTube yet is how to replace this part. 4F0 955 101 Does the bumper need to be removed or can I avoid this step? There is an elbow with a disconnect when removing the bumper and when I replaced my headlight a couple of months ago that little sucker snapped pretty quick so i would like to avoid further breakage.

Any tricks / tips are appreciated.

Since the nozzle is mounted on the back side of the bumper cover, I don't believe you can replace it w/o removing the bumper cover.

I was just messing with the bumper on my 05 A6 yesterday and found a piece hanging with a water line attached. It turned out to have broken off where the washer motor mounts. I believe that you can reach the 2 bolts that hold the washer unit on from under the vehicle without having to remove the bumper
