Default High beams too high???

Hello. I have an A6 2005 3.2 It has the OEM self-levelling Xenon lights. The problem is the high beams are so high they light up the top of the trees in the road. Uselss to use them. The problem is ONLY with the high beams. I have no errors coming on in the display for the lights. My mechanic checked them out and said the high beams alone cant be adjusted.Any ideas what the problem could be?

I agree with the mechanic...I will say the pattern cast by the hi beams on the C6 cars is a bit "different".

That is just they way they are. The high beams and low beams use the same bulb and same lens/reflector. The only difference is that a piece of metal which blocks the upper part of the beam moves out of the way.

Bumping this up. My high beams are too high. I'm not sure when this happened. I did play with the headlight function with a VAG-COM Tool when my passenger's side headlight cornering mechanism failed.
Is there a way to adjust the high beams?

SchwarzS6,
You seem to know a little something about this headlight. I did ALOT of work on my headlight about 6 months ago repairing brittle wires inside. I fixed them and got rid of my loud beep I was hearing every time I started the car for the Adaptive Headlight error. However, now my high beam shutter doesn't work and my passenger side high beam doesn't work. Now I'm not going to pass inspection in Feb. That must be the piece of metal that you are referring to. Any idea on how to repair this without using a hot knife of something and totally cutting the lens off the front of the light? Access and visibility is so limited from the back side of the light that I don't know what the shutter is or how to go about repairing it..

Thanks.
