Default How to use Air Conditioning?

I have an 2007 Audi a6 how do I turn on the air conditioning? I have to turn off econ right? I've tried setting my temp control on both sides to "low" when I press the econ light, it doesn't turn off, it stays red. Any ideas ? Or am I doing something wrong. When the car first turns on, I press the ECON button, the red light goes off, but comes back on.. afterwards, it never will go off If I press it.. only when first turning the car on.

Deja, you want the red light on the ECON switch illuminated to turn off the A/C compressor.

I want air conditioning.. for hot summer. Doesn't the econ light have to be off? If it needs to be on "red" then how do I get cold air . I put it on low and all it does it blast air from outside.

Indeed, the light needs to be off for AC to work.

Have you tried holding the button down? It's possible the car is indicating a problem by not letting you switch it off. Have it checked for codes...

I have an auto button but then it shows a temp number and that's in degrees so that's no AC, it's heat?

If I hold the bottom then the whole climate control turns off. As for checking for codes, you mean with like a scanner the one that will tell you what a check light code is? If so, I have no codes, I've used my scanner recently.
