I have a 2007 A6 3.2 which is 2 years old. yestarday when I went to start the car it would not turn over at all. I tried again 15 sec later and it cranked over. I drove to work about 45 minutes. When I came home I stopped at a store and it did the same thing, at first no crank, then it would turn over. I dont drive this car much, I usually take it to work 60miles round trip once a week. Sometimes I dont use this car for 2 weeks. Could the battery be discharged from not using it or is there an issue with my ignition swith(no advance key). I put the battery on charge but would like some input.

Get it scanned, and see if there is something malfunctioning. Then come back and ask for opinions with your fault codes.

Yes, it could be a weak battery. Use the MMI to check the battery status.

it wont work if he updated to the latest version, that feature was deleted in the update.
