Issues after Lowering A6 C6 with B12 Pro Kit
Guys,
I have Audi 2007 A6 C6 3.2 AWD
I have installed Blistein B12 prokit to my front suspension system last weekend (B8 shocks and Eibach springs). Now I am having a lot of crackling noise in the lower front area on the smallest of the bumps.
Also the suspension makes a thud noise on bigger pot holes. I have a few questions for more experienced audi folks:
1- Do you think the front sway bar needs to be adjusted after installing the smaller eibach springs ? I torqued the sway bar links as per specs and they are pretty snug. I think the crackling noise on small bumps is due to sway bar/links not at proper height after the suspension install. So should I be doing anything special with front sway bar/links ?
2- I replaced both upper control arms as well (both sides)and tighten them to a point where a 10lb weight can move them. Should they be moving easily with a hand pressure or no ? Can this be a cause of thud noise on bigger potholes on New Jersey ?
3- I could not use the stock speedbumps as they wont fit on the Blistein B12 sports struts so I cut them to be an inch in length and installed it on new struts. B12 dont need sppedbumps as they already have internal ones. Should I remove the already shortened speedbumps to mitigate these issues.
I am running out of ideas and strength to do it again, any help will be highly appreciated. I still have to do the rear struts. I am thinking if this doesnt get solved. I will just use OEM struts and send these backs. (if amazon accepts it)
Seems to be at loss both ways.
Thanks
D

I didnt do that and there was about 1 cm of play between the strut threads and the mount. The continuous rubbing of strut mount also worn off the threads on the strut. I had to remove both sides struts, then got the thread renewed at a local shop , then I installed the struts again.
Major PITA, Lesson learned, but now I can do my audi struts in a better way.
