Mirror adjustments.

Has anyone tried this:
Rest the side of your head on the driver's windw and adjust the driver's side mirror to wear you can just see the side of your car. Lean an equal distance towards the center of the car to make the adjustment to the passenger side mirror.
The concept behind it apparently allows you to get more coverage. You can see a car coming up on you from an adjacent lane (right or left) in the rear view mirror once the car leaves the rear view mirror it shows up in either side view mirror depending on which lane it's in.
When the vehicle leaves the side view mirror you should be able to see the front end of the car in your periferral vision.
Just a safety thing. Try it to see if you like it. This is by no means suggesting that you shouldn't check your blind spot!
