MMI Update error "Uncomplete Metadata for EEPROM-Update for MMI"
Hi, new poster here needs help.
I have 2007 S6 with v.2750 MMI. I did research and found out that I have to install 3360 first and then install 4610.
I got both Audi OEM CD's (4F0 906 961 AB and 4F0 998 961) and I do have v5 Navi installed but when I try to update to 3360 after I hit Start Download I get this error:
Before attempting the update I did DTC scan and got DTC "Telephone not coded". Despite this code my iPhone pairs with BT and the MMI and multi-function steering wheel controls work as they should so I am not sure if that may be the problem.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

It is telling you
"Incomplete metadata used for EEPROM update the MMI (V1.1.18.25.7.27.11.2, 0x61435738 CRC) Other CD"
Maybe you are trying to use the wrong CD first? Make absolutely certain that you are putting in the 3360 CD first.

I am using the 4F0 906 961 AB which is the 3360 and it is the OEM Audi CD not pirated one.
When I accessed LOGGING amazingly there was history of downgrade from 2750 to 2711 but the SW showing everywhere else is 2750.

Direct update from 2750 to 4610 confirmed.
I just updated my MMI v.2750 directly to v.4610 without any problems.
You only need to go first to v.3360 when you are updating to the older v.4140. Apparently with v.4610 you do not need to do that. My update went flawlessly and took only 25 minutes.

Thanks for finding that thread but it's a moot point now. With the newest update 4610 you do not need to go to 3360 first. That was only required for 4140.
The error was happening when trying to update to 3360 with particular version of MMI head unit. There was error in coding as the HU version number on the update CD was not included and so it kicked out the error and would not allow the update.
With the 4610 update everything goes smoothly without any glitch.
