Nav not installed?
Hey everyone,
I'm a frequent poster on the b8 a4 forum but I just got a 2008 a6 as a loaner and was wondering why I keep getting a navigation not installed message on my screen even though the dealer insists the car has it.

If the DIS is red, and not a full color display, then it never had it originally.
If it's a color display then the NAV unit is not operating properly, not hooked up, or there is a MOST ring problem in the vehicle.

"Nav is not installed" because it could not read the disk.
Take the disk out and check for dust and scratches. If it does not help,
You can simply copy the disk to another DVD on your computer and try with the copy.
You also can get an upgrated copy of the 2010 Nav disk from the ebay or from torrent. Just be careful and not use the older disk (pre 2008)
