Need Help..Wierd Issue
So the other day i was helping a friend whose battery died soo i gave him a jump..while giving him a jump my a/c was on and the car revved to about 2k. All the sudden i hear a clunk type noise and my motor sounds not good and my a/c went out.
I scanned the car. P1635 - missing message from A/C controller.
everything seems like its working fine with the a/c compressor ect..
Any ideas?

When jumping another car you should always shut off all the accessories, so you won't burn fuses or modules. The biggest issue you might have would the battery relay (if your battery starts to drains).
Check your fuses.
Check your fuses.

i check all fuses they looks fine. My main concern is getting the a/c working. It went out as i was jumping the other car. I gave the compressor power from a jump box but nothing happened. any other ideas what it would be? vag-com doesnt show any other codes

Do you have air blowing at least?
When you check the fuses did you pull them?
There's a few thing to check: Wiring for corrosion, bad climate control module or the worst the compressor is bad.
I would start by pulling the fuses for 10 mins and checking the wiring to the compressor and then blower valve.
If A/C Compressor Regulator Valve (N280) went then you'll need a new Compressor.
Let's hope for the best it's a short as simple unplug replug where good.

Thanks eazy..
Yea I unplugged the fuses. I do have air blowing (just not cold)at all speeds and the heat works.
The wiring to the compressor and valve seem fine. I recovered the freon and pulled the valve but couldn't tell anything.
I jumped the compressor with two wires from a battery straight to the unplugged male connector on the compressor and nothing??
Kind of lost. If it were only the valve I've found used compressors for $80 which I could buy and remove that one and install it on mine but not sure if that's it.

ake11, I see that 01320 Climatronic Control Module-J255- No Signal/Communication.
It's the J255 valve it either there's debris in the cylinders or stuck open; which would cause a/c just to blow hot air only. It's a simple fix. There is a write up here or in audizine how to address the problem. But here are some videos to the fix.
Hope this helps
