No audio output when it is cold
Hi,
I have Audi A6 C6 from 2010 with MMI 3G (Hdd, joystick in ****). I have following issue: There is no sound when i come to my car when there is cold outside (less than +5deg C). Sound does not work for around 5-10minutes then it works properly. There is no errors in VCDS (there used to be, because i had broken battery but i replaced it, battery was re-programmed, there is only one message about the glows but i guess it's unrelated to the case).
Sound does not work for anything: Nav, telephone, radio, media.
I have 4F0 035 056 A unit in the trunk, I've checked, there is no water in the trunk. As far as i know, this is Radio AND amplifier module, radio "works" when there is no sound, i can read RDS datatext and switch between stations. All MMI options works properly.
After few minutes i can hear some pops and craclings from speakers (it last no more than 1-2 seconds) then everything works correclty). If I park the car after the long ride, it will work correctly once i get back. After short ride it might not work.
I wonder if there is any relay that provides power to the amplifier inside the unit, or i have cold solder somewhere? It looks like one.
Can you give me any clues or hints? I can solder even small SMD parts, so that is not an issue, but i need to know where to start

Hmm.. Haven't I seen something about sound issues when cold in either in an tsb or tpi.. Hmm..
Will take a look if I'll find anything later today..

I've checked and there is Quadlock in the trunk, it looks like two ISO plugs, Is it classic ISO? I wanted to check if all wires are correct (if there is any mute signal or something)?

I have the Bose system in mine, and if the night gets colder than -10c deg, the speakers will screech and pop for a few mins, then no sound until I start up again... I think the amp just doesn’t like to get cold.
