NOW OFF TDC - A6 timing chain tensioner replacement
2005 Audi A6 3.2 Liter - I'm just replaced the timing chain tensioners .... followed instruction from Video and a how to step by step. Completed using the cam timing kit that includes the two bridges that hold timing chain in place along with crankshaft TDC pin. At the end, I went to rotate the engine by hand to double check timing per video. Heard a ping and think the valve hit piston ... rotated a little further and then got to a point where engine will not turn freely ... it is hitting something going clockwise. Now I'm about 160 degrees in a clockwise position from TBD and stuck. How do I get the engine back to TDC and to cam lock position if I can't turn the engine backwards? Obviously, if I think I've hit a valve I don't want to keep turning the engine.
