Hi, in August i did change both manifolds and push rods on my A6, and i thought it was the end of long expensive repair for me( cost me +-USD2500). last week my wife was driving the car, and suddenly at a red light, she heard a fault warning light the one that comes with line like a stretched coil. and the steering wheel became a bit stiff and the vehicle loss power. she had to swtich off and on to be able to get some power. i need an advise on this, do i need to get rid of the car (+-220.000,00 km on the clock)? it has been going on all regular Audi services.

Hi I have just replaced manifolds on my car. it has close to 220000km. the all service cost me +-2800 USD. this wasdone in july august, then last week i got a warning light again on the dashboard, the stretched coil like sign and the steering wheel became a bit stiff and the vehicle was almost on limp mode. i am tired with these costly repairs and do not want to go htrough this again. i love my car and i am thinking of getting rid of it. As Audi delaers are waring me that expenses will become more heavy as the vehicle is older. i have been through all the required 15000km services at audi dealers.

Can you take a picture or better yet, your owner manual which state what that sign actually means.

It's the glow plug warning light that is an indicator of various faults. Adhermark, is the warning light flashing or constant?

We're just going to be guessing at the possibilities without a scan for faults...
