I bought an '09 3.0T with 78,000 miles and love the car. I've been adding a quart of oil every 1000 miles since I brought her home. I guess I can live with this but I'm checking to see if I should plan for it to get worse, or every car is different. IDK. All the older threads are from 6 or 7 years ago. Appreciate your comments/thoughts.

I think the dealer told me the car needed to be less than 10 years old and less than 80,000 miles, so I would suggest that you not wait any longer before taking it in.
