Default oxidation of window trim - any ideas on how to treat them??

Audi does not cover the oxidation of the chrome as a manufacturer's defect, any way to cure the oxidation without having to replace the trim, which is big $$$?

Default

Search the D2 and D3 A8 forums as they too have the polished aluminum trim.

I think Mark and Pierre got Audi to pay for the oxidation of window trim. Send them an e-mail

Default I had good results with this -->

<center><img src="http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/classic-motoring_1958_36975040"></center><p>P21S Multi-surface Finish restorer

Took a little elbow grease but really improved the look of the trim.<ul><li><a href="http://www.properautocare.com/p2mulfinres.html">Can purchase it here</a></li></ul>

Default How did you manage to do that when (I thought) that there's clear coat

on the trim.

Default someone had success using Menzerna Intense polish and then Menzerna Final Finish see attached link.

I will attempt the process this weekend, two dealerships both denied coverage of the trim. One even claimed it was the car wash product I was using.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/detail/msgs/42670.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/detail/msgs/42670.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default All the brightwork IS covered, on my 2005, anyway. . .

The parts arrived today for a complete entire car replacement of the chrome or whatever it is. I get to have an Audi loaner for 3 days while the car is in the body shop for a total replacement of the brightwork of my 2005 A6.

No charge. Not even an argument.
