Audi does not cover the oxidation of the chrome as a manufacturer's defect, any way to cure the oxidation without having to replace the trim, which is big $$$?

I had good results with this -->

Took a little elbow grease but really improved the look of the trim.

Can purchase it here

someone had success using Menzerna Intense polish and then Menzerna Final Finish see attached link.
I will attempt the process this weekend, two dealerships both denied coverage of the trim. One even claimed it was the car wash product I was using.

https://forums.audiworld.com/detail/msgs/42670.phtml</a

All the brightwork IS covered, on my 2005, anyway. . .
The parts arrived today for a complete entire car replacement of the chrome or whatever it is. I get to have an Audi loaner for 3 days while the car is in the body shop for a total replacement of the brightwork of my 2005 A6.
No charge. Not even an argument.
