Phone Book Contact Names Not Populating in MMI via Bluetooth
Hi, I have a 2006 A6. When I owned a Samsung Galaxy S3, I had no problem seeing all phonebook names from the cell phone on the MMI. Now I have an LG G4 and I can only see phone numbers on the MMI via Bluetooth, no names. Very annoying. Who memorizes numbers anymore?
I have tried unpairing and re-pairing the phone several times. I have also tried a forced reset of the MMI. Neither of these fixed the problem. Perhaps the newer LG phone doesn't support the Bluetooth profile that the A6 uses to bring the contact name across to the MMI?
My firmware version is 4140.
Any other suggestions to fix this issue would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Doug

Longshot.. But make sure you are syncing contacts with Google.. And not local storage.. I had that kind of behavior long time ago on an old phone with custom rom.. =)

Could be worse - I have a Motorola Droid and I get duplicates and triplicates stored for every phone number. So if I have a home, work, cell combination for one person, I'll see 6-9 entries for the same person and it doesn't differentiate which number is which. Arrgghhhh! Happens on both my 06 and 09.
