Default Power steering reservoir

Anyone know how to remove the filter from the power steering reservoir (the white piece)?

Do not remove it. If you want to drain the fluid - disconnect hose at the bottom of the car. This way you will drain most of it.

What I did for my c5 a6 was, turkey blasts old fluid from reservior a few times and then replace the reservior assembly. Disconnect two hose from the bottom of the reservior and undo two bolts. Now my fluid is clear after 10k , so it works well for me. I now have very smooth steering handlling.

I think between #12 and #14.
it required taking off the belly cover. I would wait until the next oil change to take it of once for both.

I think it's built in. you need to replace the power steering reservoir assembly if you want to change the filter.

Just drop a magnet in the screen, that will attract the worst of the nasty stuff in circulation.
