Default Rear diff / Transfer case - front diff oil change

Hi there,
Im planning to change the oil on my my rear diff (final drive) and front diff/transfer case on my RS6. I think it is more or less the same on the S6.

Does anyone have an writeup on this?

-How much oil in the rear diff?
-How much oil in the front diff / transfer case?

Change procedure? I see a drain plug on the rear diff, is there a fill plug as well or is it a press in prosedure?
What about the front diff / transfer case?

Cheers!

Thanks. Read both threads. Very little for the 6HP28 transmission in the RS6.

Just did my rear diff. It has both a drain and a fill hole. About 1L came out. 1,5L went in. Motul 300.

Now on to figure out the transfer case and front diff..

993 turbo,
I have read this post of your before but today I read it again. You said that on your rear diff that 1L came out and 1.5L went in??? Something is not right with that math. If only 1L came out, then you had .5L to .6L left in there. Not sure how you could then squeeze 1.5 additional in there.

I just did my rear, front and middle (transaxle) 2 days ago. They were a beast!!! I will make update one of the existing threads on my experience doing them.

maths are simple.

Now here comes am example:

-you have any reservoiar with a capacity of 1,5ltr. You drain it, and get 0,5ltr out.
You fill it to its brink (1,5ltr).

How many litres was this reservoir short?

-you have any reservoir with a capacity of 1,5ltr. You drain it and get 1ltr out.

How many litres was this overfilled?
