Default Recommendation for mechanic near Stamford, CT please

Looking for someone that can take care of the P2070/P2080 codes on our 2006 A6.

Thanks

Costa, this is likely the problem: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-.../#post24276198

I've had this happen twice on our 2006 A6. I believe the codes were the same.

I don't know that you need a mechanic to fix this. You DO need some hi-temp silicone line to complete the repair. It's not a great design and I think the entire population of these cars is going to be affected sooner or later. The plastic line Audi used can't withstand the heat and breaks apart like uncooked pasta.

Unfortunately, I don't know if that is the only issue as I had MAF codes before this code showed up and this code showed up after I removed the throttle body for cleaning. I wonder if a different hose cracked or broke while I was doing that. That being said, I may give it a try this sunday and hope for the best.

I used high temp silicone as the replacement. It was tough to get the audi clip off the hose that is behind the headlight. One interesting find is that that hose is clipped onto the body with a plastic flexible clip that you can unclip so that you can pull the hose up high enough to work easily on it. That way there is no need to remove any other parts.
