Red shoe light by gear shift is on
i Looked up why and it says it was a safety feature that if your break fluid is too low it won’t shift out of park but I topped off the break fluid and it was already almost full and the shoe light is still on

I just went through the owner's manual and don't see any warning light as to what you've indicated. Are you in the US/Canada?
Also, take a picture of the actual light on your dash and post it. If your brake fluid is low indicator is on, when was the last time you flushed and refilled it? There might be an air-bubble in your system.

there are so many posts here that make you question it if they are for real or just site admin places them so we can generete him a lot of ad impressions....
posts without even saying what car it is nor anyting else that would help us help him with his problem...
these posts are like...this is the problem..whats wrong?.. Or like one before this one...here is a hint???? We all have some experince and trying to share but do not think we will be able to fix your car over this forum using our paranormal powers...
If you are legimate...check your breake pedal switch...
