Default Service Due Reset

I've been searching & searching on this subject and saw besides the dealer a VAGCOM or Carista(sp?) app there isn't a simple way of resetting the Service Due interval in car via the MMI like many other models? Is this true? I'm 99.9% this was triggered from the oil change service interval. I was in a hurry last oil change and took it to a Quick Lube instead of my normal euro auto shop. Anyhow, i'm simply just wanting to take it to the same quick lube again for time sake but they don't have the reset tool. Are there any other options for quickly & easily doing this?

Also, if I purchase the app is there also a module I need to do this or does it connect to the MMI via bluetooth or how does this all work? Would rather not go to my local dealer for this since its all the way across town and i'll sit there for hours waiting even with an appointment.

My car is a 2009 Audi A6 3.0T Quattro Prestige

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Service reset is via VCDS or dealer. Don't know about Carista.

A6C6 FL Year 2009 after "Service Due" reset with VCDS (SRI reset special function), all Counters resets, but "Service Due" still persists. What to do more?

The cheapest VAGCOM unit will cost $200 (not including the laptop) which is good for up to 3 VIN's. Well worth the cost if you service your own vehicles. If you are looking to just reset the service counters it is an expensive option, however I am not aware of another option.

I would never take my vehicles to a "quick lube" especially if they cannot reset the oil service counters. It would make me wonder if they have the proper type oil & flters for our cars or the knowledge add the required amount of oil needed.

I just noticed that the original post is over 4 years old!
