I have a 2009 A6 3.0T Quattro. I've bought it pre-owned about a month ago and noticed it hesitating off the line lately. almost like a turbo lag but it's supercharged. i also am seeing tranny fluid on my drive.

I'm seeing online transmission leaks are common. could the lag be related to low fluid? how can I add fluid until i can get the leak fixed?

Actually not sure what or where you've read that tranny leaks are common...since I've not heard that. Are you actually certain it's the tranny leaking? Have you put the car up on a lift and checked? The fill plug on the tranny is up top of the tranny and you'll need to fill it till no more fluid goes in.

I'd recommend you actually get it checked out and ensure it's not something else leaking. As for hesitation, it can be the tranny, but then again could be an impediment somewhere else as well.

If this transmission is anything like the one on my 4.2 quattro, ZF 6HP19 there is a lot more to topping it off than just taking the fill plug out and filling it up.
You should be able to find plenty of thread on the process.
