Default Cam position sensor

Hi Guys,
Anyone know which head this is for and is it the one on the top or bottom cam? Had this code a couple of times this winter and it went away but it is not going away this time.

Thanks,
Bob

I tied the sensor in the two different intake positions and no luck. I am going to try the hydraulic valve as pictured above next. After doing some research, it looks like that may do it. I am going to "shock" the valve first to see if it comes loose.

I had "P0019 CMP Sens 4 (G301) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28) " twice when scanning the car without ever seeing MIL. Than I had the solenoids getting lazy and related "retarded" error codes and misfires. Seems like a Camshaft solenoid valve can give position sensor error as well. Shocking the valve is only a temporary fix. There is a design flaw with the filter mesh that breaks off and clogs the valve. The pic of the valve above is of my intake valve, I cleaned it, shocked it and it lasted for about a week than it was completely dead. I replaced it with a new one than I had the exhaust solenoid jammed as well
I replaced the solenoid, and the passenger side solenoids, if two can go bad within a month or so I wasn't going to wait for the other two to go bad and leave me stranded somewhere or damage the engine.
On the bright side if it's just the position sensor, it's very easy to replace and cheaper than the solenoids. About $20 each. Bank 2 is driver side, intake on top of the engine , exhaust is lower on the side.

All four solenoids have the same part number, and so do the position sensors.

How shocking, it didn't work! I did get the spring dislodged but the valve still hangs up. Off to the dealer Monday for a new one. Nothing ventured/nothing gained>

Well the solenoid did the trick. 400 mile road test today to confirm but a short drive and re-scan showed up no error codes and yesterday it did. Wish me luck!!

Thanks,
Bob
