Default Used A6: Advanced Key Issues or Nomal

I have the advanced key on a 2005 A6. Is it normal that if i start with the advance key and drive and then then turn it off with pressing stop, (so I guesss it is in Acc mode)because I can still play with MMi. The problem is when I press Start the Dashlight come on but the car does not start? It like when i push the start button without the brake pedal, but I know I am pressing it. If stop and leave the vehicle and take the key with me and come back then it start without issue.

Starting the car manually is never a problem. Thanks

Mainly is it normal not to be able start the engine with adanvce key if you turn off the car without leaving it.

try opening then closing the driver's door, then hitting the start button again. it's probably a feature to prevent unintentional stop/starts.

Does it use batteries? I have not had an issue unlocking with it or getting the vehicle to turn on but sometimes it wont start i have open the door or press the button more times.

when I bought my CPO '05 1.5 yrs ago the push button go was updated to a newer version because it would crank a little longer than normal. Fixed it. Maybe that will help.
