used A6 from CarMax (warranty/Service transfer??)
we bought a used '06 A6 from Carmax and I was wondering if I still have warranty and still get free service maintenance through an Audi dealer?
Can I bring it in for 25000 mile service or do I pay for that?
Also does the 50000 mile warranty still cover this used car?

Maintenance was free on the '06s, had to pay for 07.
The difference between the free maintenance on the 05 vs 06 was the list of things covered. For example IIRC wiper blades were covered under the 05 plan, not on 06.

Audi is really missing the boat on this one. Penny wise and pound foolish decision. BMW is already airing commercials about how there program remains free while other mfg's are changing.
My personal rub comes from being a multiple Audi owner. I've purchased 5 new Audis since 1990 1-100CS, 2-A4's and 2 A-6 4.2's Part of my purchase pattern was established due to the "Audi Advantage" program.
Realizing that OEM margins are thin, Euro's are expensive and there is a competitive market in the U.S. AoA needs to shave every dollar from warranty and service costs to remain profitable and competitive in a difficult market.
However, much like airlines who cater to their very best customers with miles, perks and upgrades AoA should adopt a similar stance for long term customers. For example; a tiered discount program where the cost of the maint. plan is reduced by virtue of how many new Audi's have been purchased over time.
There are a host of schemes that could play a factor in determining "redeemable points" earned. new vehicle purchase, certified used vehicle purchase, years of ownership, multiple vehicle purchase, post warranty service work at the dealership, misc. OEM dealer purchases like wheels and other OEM Audi items, Audi credit card. Heck, they are the marketing folks how many more ideas could be added? Lots!
At the end of the day you've built a customer loyalty program that rewards frequent Audi buyers with free maint. Who here hasn't paid more for a ticket or endured a longer layover solely to earn points toward free air travel?
Of course, if somebody from Audi of America reads this and launches a program I want my $500 or $700 bucks back (what-ever it was) as a consulting fee.
