V710 no longer pairs with A6
For some reason, I can no longer get my Motorola V710 phone to pair with my car. The phone sees the car's BT, but it says "cannot connect" when I try to pair them. I've reset the car's phone settings, but no luck. Anybody had this problem with a BT phone before?

My 2005 A6

Re: V710 no longer pairs with A6
haha. i have problems with my V710. Sometimes it says they are linked but it wont send or receive calls. So i have to stop the car, turn it off completely and turn it back on and that usually works. Every time i get in the car I have to make sure it is working by calling my voicemail. And forget dialing with the car... that crashes my phone every time. I think its a specific issue with the damn v710

for now this works best
1. Make sure you don't have any pauses, extension numbers or pin codes programmed into the telephone numbers you usually call. These pauses interfere with Audi's BT and will hang the phone when you dial out.
2. Make sure you don't lock your phone(security setting). By not locking the phone it will be easier for your phone to pair with the car upon entering and allows easier and faster repairing when necessary. If the phone doesn't pair right away when entering the car, either restart your phone or go into the connection setting (under settings), select handsfree then Audi and it will usually repair again.
I'm using an air vent mount for the phone so now I have access to my phone book. This setup makes life much easier for me and I'm not holding the phone while driving.
Let's hope Verizon pulls through and releases the updated software.
