It's good for the rim, it's good for the entire wheel. Yes, their picture is a bit strange.

I've seen wheels done with this product. They look quite decent.
Also, many dealerships have a wheel repair guy that might visit once or twice a week and just knock out a bunch of wheels. You could ask your local dealership..
