Who uses Sirius?
I'm curious who uses Sirius radio and are there any promotions which would entice me to install the module in my car. I can see the advantages of having sat radio if your always on the road or live outside of cities and don't get reception but when you really add it all up, it's a rather expensive luxury. Now if they had less expensive packages with say only 50 channels as opposed to the current choices of 150 channels it would make sense.I personally think they are missing the boat by not offering $6 a month subscriptions plus add on fees as opposed to the $13 plus fees for channels I will never use?

I have it. It's pretty much the only radio we listen to - the comedy stuff and the classical music channels. They have a lot of other stuff that we don't listen to. The quality is less than FM radio but it's still good.
But no, I don't know of any promotions.

I activated the XM radio in my car shortly after I got it. It's all I listen to unless I put in a CD. Sounds great through the BOSE surround sound. I'm not exactly sure but I think I paid something like $110 for a 12 month family friendly subscription that started in April or May. Maybe search the internet for some promotional codes that at least eliminate the activation fee....

And the lifetime membership is around $525 I believe. I bought a 3 year plan for somewhere around $360 if I remember correctly.
