Window not working

Window not working
Hi folks
Driver's window stopped working a few days ago, in the up position luckily, nothing at the switch, no click, light flicker, graunch, nothing. Other three windows fine, only three work on the key fob.
At first I thought it was the regulator as most of the VW / Audi forum window issues point to this, but without extracting the frame, the cables & plastic clips appear ok but more importantly there's no movement to suggest the mechanism is being powered. This made me suspect the other items; motor ok as it works on other door so I'm left with the switch and the control unit. The switch I can't check as it's a four way and the other doors are singles, although the other three windows and the child locks work fine from here. The control unit is side specific as the RH one on testing won't work on the LH side & vice versa.
Multimeter values across the good (LH) control unit as per pic below are:
Pin 1 - steady 11v
Pin 2 - 11v to 1v when switch operated.
Pin 3 - steady 1v
Pin 4 - steady 11v
Pin 5 - steady 1v
RH control unit, regardless of switch operation:
Pin 1 - steady 1v
Pin 2 - steady 1v
Pin 3 - steady 9v
Pin 4 - steady 1v
Pin 5 - steady 9v
This all makes me think there's a fault with the control unit OR the switch. Unable to read the fault codes just now but that's the next step. Local Audi Stealer is 40 miles away which is one of the reasons I'm asking here - any thoughts folks?
Many thanks....

Yes, that's THE diag tool for all VAG (Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft Group) vehicles: Ross-Tech Store: VCDS License with HEX-USB+CAN Unlimted VIN (All VAG)
There are cheaper options, but imho none better

Latest update:
Got a second hand Control Unit - exactly the same, driver's window not working, other three inc child locks all fine.
Got a second hand four way switch - exactly the same, driver's window not working, other three inc child locks all fine.
Got a local electrician to check it all over - wires & connections all good but found the attached pic with VCDS (VAGCOMM)
To re-iterate, the motor work fine on the other door & there's nothing audible from the door, no clicks of graunch like the cable's broken. Cable does appear fine with lots of tension from fingertip feel.
ANY IDEAS???
