I have the inerface cable with the lighting connection fitted bot it still doesnt register on the media! Any ideas please?

The phone needs to be plugged into the cable within about one minute of starting the car or it won't find it.

ok maybe you should give us some basics here.

Do you have an AMI (Audi Music Interface) cable or something else (i.e. Dension 500)? Also, I understand this is a new car to you, but did this function EVER work in the car? If you are attempting to stream music via BT you'll need an A2DP, however if this is simply leveraging the cable from the AMI to you I(product) 5, you'll need an adapter to use with the pre-existing cable, since this won't work as-is

clear the call history before pairing with bluetooth. that should make the phone book option available
