2012 A7 3.0 tdi needs dmf replaced. Clutch?

2012 A7 3.0 tdi needs dmf replaced. Clutch?
Hi
Picked up a new to me 2012 Audi A7 last week and just joined the forum. Its a 2012 3.0 tdi 245hp s-tronic. (europe car)
Got the car cheap since it has a faulty dual mass flywheel, diagnosed by audi themselves.
I have booked an appointment with my local independent mechanic for swapping out the DMF with a LUK unit.
But, he also wants to change the clutch at the same time. I was therefore wondering how common it is or if it is recommended to do this at the same time.
As changing the clutch, will increase the cost of the repeair by a fair margin.
