Hello and thanks in advance for any comments! Driving home this evening I noticed an unusual sound which ended up being the engine fan's. I had never heard it sound that way and at the next light it shuts off. Then the first LED bar past the mid engine temp lights up as I drive away from the light. I notice the fan sound again and the next engine temp LED bar lights up. Luckily I was close to home and it dropped back to normal by the time I pulled into the drive. This is the first time I've had the temperature go up on this car. I just turned 75K miles and it's been hassle free since I purchased it used a year ago.

Any ideas? I've read about the water pump and stuck thermostats.

Plan to call the dealer tomorrow since I'm down to less than 8k miles left on the extended warranty.

Check the fluid level in the reservoir. A common place for leaks is the small intercooler at the base of the grill. Rocks hit it.

A8DMS....what was the issue? Did you ever figure it out? I'm having something similar with mine...I was just wondering what you found out with yours. Thanks in advance for the help!

Thermostat ended up needing replaced. After that it went back to normal!
