2012 A7 Extended warranty and Tire question
I'm looking to finalize the purchase of a CPO A7. I just need to figure out which extended plan to go with as I am concerned about the electronics, MMI and the screen operation/dying. There's the Gold and Platinum plan. This plan is through Audi of Canada Mechanical Breakdown Protection Audi After Care
However, one of the issues that I believe the dealership needs to take care of are the tires.
I discovered a chunk of sidewall missing from the right rear. The dealer has finally agreed to replace both rears at not cost to me, initially they wanted me to pay for one. This defect was not spotted by the dealer but by me when I went by the dealership prior to taking possession the next day. Their initial response was this is fine, to we'll have to find some replacements. Which I mentioned these have to be done in pairs at a minimum.
This is my first Quattro car, and from speaking with others, it is best to replace all 4. I am going to be speaking with the GM on Monday about this. They say the fronts have about 20% wear.
