OK, this is a new one. My driver's side mirror has rotated about 90 degrees too far several times this week when I start the car. My mirror's tuck in when I lock the doors. Not sure why it's even capable of rotating that far. Anybody else have this happen? It's been when the temp has been really cold.

Same thing with me (MY12) except that its both mirrors. It happens to be when the temp is below 10 degrees Fahrenheit. I assume its something to do with a rubber stopper that is contracting with the low temps. Once in the 20s its fine.

I disabled the auto folding mirrors in the MMI and will ask the dealer in Spring (which at this rate I don't think will ever arrive)

Mine gets stuck on folding sometimes - also rubber stripping related. I brought it to the dealership yesterday to check it out. Last time, they said they'd have to replace the entire mirror since they don't make the rubber stripping separately. I declined to do that last time, but let's see if they have any better solutions this time around.

replacing the whole mirror system does not always help. currently there is no way other than just turn the function off.
