2016 Audi A7/S7/RS7 Order Guide

The S7 seems ridiculously appealing now. Misano and Sepang available, black optic with 21" wheel option, flat bottom steering wheel, USB ports, increased HP, possible red carbon twill, and sport exhaust option with much better diffuser.....damn

The typical S7 in inventory is $95-100,000. That defies "ridiculously appealing" for most people. For that money there are several really neat cars.

Please list some comparables. It's easy to build and order an S7 very nicely equipped for mid-80s (including the power of price negotiation). A bunch of the options you'll find on dealer's lots are unnecessary, and, for me, unwanted: B&O stereo, driver assistance, night vision - all options that are a complete waste of money in a driver's car, in my opinion. Hard to find a car with the same overall characteristics for similar money (5-door, twin-turbo V8, dual-clutch, AWD). Sounds like a good conversation to start

And I'd have to agree with Zatmeen. The S7 is somewhat in it's own class and doesn't have many competitors. It's not meant to compete the M6, Panamera Turbo S, or CLS 63 AMG.

We can nit picks about what it compares to, and my point is not which is the better car, but what other cars can be considered competitors. A 550 is nearly as fast for $10,000 less money, and on the high end it's damn close to a M5 in price. A CLS 550/63 can be said the same thing about.
But still, my point was that the price of any of those cars is a lot of money and not asking too much to expect something special.

According to C&D, average paid on a 2015 S7 is just under 78K while the premium plus is just under 68k. This is actually surprising to me. I expected that average S7 to be in the mid 80's as mentioned above. I might actually consider going S now. Only thing I don't like is the fact that the seat color options don't feature nougat brown or the cedar brown. However I do see the red offered. Anyone have any idea how that looks? Also, do they offer the exclusive program on the S? And if so, how much does that usually run? Might be an option

Go on "cars.com" and enter the S7 (and be sure to click on "new"). Enter any zip code and "all miles". You'll get a listing of every S7 in stock in the U.S. They start just over $100k and go down to $88K. Most of them are well into the $90s.
It's quite obvious to me that C&D is showing results for A's, not S's. BTW, I can't even find a "Premium Plus" package showing anywhere, including the "Build" on the Audi web-site. All the more reason to believe they are not being specific to the S.
