Default A7 odd drivability question

I have a 2016 CPO A7 prestige with 18k miles on it. The issue I have with it I notice on the highway (but noticeable at speeds over 40) when the car runs over painted lines. It feels like the car is literally on ice even in dry conditions. I had an alignment done recently which has not solved the issue. The tires are original to the car and are in good condition. I am previously owned a 2014 A6 and never experienced this problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Geoff

What size, make, model tires are on this car? If they are performance all season or summer tires, in winter, yeah they will be horrible.

This issue is most noticeable in dry conditions. The tires are factory Pirelli all season.

I figured out the issue. The lane assist was activated and what I was noticing was the warning that I was drifting from my lane. I just shut it off.

I have accidentally turned it on and experienced a similar sensation.

Use your turn signal when changing lanes and the lane assist will disengage and let you smoothly change lanes.
