A7 questions
I recently purchased a 2015 A7. I have a few questions for those veteran A7 owners. I have looked in the owner’s manual for answers but I can’t find them. I was hoping someone could respond. If they are things I need to have the dealer look at just let me know. I only have 21000 miles on the car.
When I press the panic button on the key fob, the owner’s manual says the horn sounds. In my car the alarm tone sounds which isn't nearly as loud as the horn. Is there a setting that I can switch this so the horn sounds rather than the alarm?
Using the hands free foot opener at the trunk, with the key fob in my pocket and swinging my foot back and forth - front to back, and standing directly behind the trunk, I can’t get the trunk lid to open all of the time. It works maybe 2 out of 10 attempts. Just isn't real sensitive to the movement. Is this characteristic?
At idle with the car warm, the engine just doesn't seem real smooth. It’s not bad I just feel it’s not as smooth as it should be. It doesn't miss under acceleration or otherwise perform poorly. Is that characteristic of the 3.0 supercharged engine or something I should have the dealer look at?
There is a valet button in the glove box. Other than locking the trunk what does this switch do if anything? Can’t find it anywhere in the owner’s manual.
And lastly, I want to purchase some Audi car mats. What’s the best vender for price and quality? I can always go to the dealer but they typically are 30% to 50% more expensive.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The Panic button makes the car beep and it is a gentler sound than the horn. It is meant for finding the car on a parking lot. Have never seen a way to change it.
The foot swing trunk opening is finicky. Takes some getting used to, and even so it takes a second (or third) try sometime.
Regular mats come with the car, so I assume you want to get winter mats. I found WeatherTech the best. Perfect fit, good color match, real heavy duty material.

Early comments about mats mentioned that they were thin. My used A7 had 20K miles and the mats still looked new. If you want aftermarket mats, Lloyds is a good name. There's probably more out there. I have the AutoPreme set but I got them for a little more than the Lloyds price.

Thanks for for the information. I'll check out Lloyds.
